BlueSkies Home Health MOT
What is a Home Health MOT? Who are they for?
Why have one? What's included?
How much does it cost? Reducing your risk
BlueSkies Health MOTs provide a comprehensive workplace health screening service for a large number of people every year. However, for various reasons, many people will be unable to attend organised sessions and it can often be difficult to find time to visit the GP for screening. This is why BlueSkies have developed our Home Health MOT package.

What is a Home Health MOT?
A BlueSkies Home Health MOT is exactly as it sounds - a version of our very successful Health MOT service adapted so you can carry it out at home! Home Health MOTs allow you to assess your health at a time and place convenient to you with full guidance and support from us.
Each of our Home Health MOTs is designed to screen for some of the major risk factors for heart, circulatory and other major diseases. Screening for these risk factors is important as many of them have no symptoms and, if left untreated, they can lead to further health complications including, ultimately, a heart attack or stroke.
Although your Home Health MOT is carried out in your home, you are certainly not alone once you have determined the results. We will support and advise you about how you can improve your health and reduce your health risks through the BlueSkies Members Website and Forum to which you will receive 8 weeks complimentary access.
Why have a BlueSkies Home Health MOT?
With a BlueSkies Home Health MOT, you get the benefits of a traditional BlueSkies Health MOT but you get to do it in the comfort of your own home at a time that suits you. You can even ask a friend or partner to help you out with the testing if you like!
You can read more about the reasons for having a Health MOT by clicking here, but here's a summary:
- Cardiovascular disease (CVD) was responsible for 39% deaths in the UK in 2002, killing just under 238,000 people.
- Coronary heart disease causes over 117,000 deaths a year in the UK.
- Around one in five deaths in men and one in six deaths in women are attributable to coronary heart disease.
- Over 2.5 million people in the UK have been diagnosed with CVD and are able to ‘manage’ their condition through combinations of lifestyle and pharmaceutical interventions.
- The majority of potential CVD is preventable IF you tackle your risk factors earlier enough.
- Knowing that you are at risk of CVD allows you to change your lifestyle and prevent future complications.
