How does it work? Using a BlueSkies PT
Who writes my programme? How much is it?
BlueSkies understand that employing a Personal Trainer (PT) can be a bit 'hit and miss' sometimes. At some point, you will probably end up asking yourself:
- How do I know what to look for in a PT?
- What qualifications should they have?
- How do I know if they're any good?
- Do I actually need a PT?
BlueSkies will remove the need for this kind of question and eliminate the 'chance' element from employing a PT. With BlueSkies Personal Training, you will receive a unique service designed solely with YOU in mind.
How does it work?
Once you register your interest in becoming a BlueSkies Personal Training Client, we will arrange to talk with you to discuss your requirements - this can be done in person, over the phone or by e-mail.
We will then propose a Personal Training solution designed around your needs, your goals, your budget and your lifestyle. This solution could be any combination of:
- Training in-person with a BlueSkies PT
- Training programmes, tips and advice delivered over-the-phone
- Training programmes, tips and advice delivered via e-mail
- Tips and advice delivered via SMS
- On-line communication with BlueSkies experts via the BlueSkies forum
Each BlueSkies Personal Training solution will be different as it will be designed around an individual - YOU! However, each solution will have one similarity - it, and it's method of delivery, will fit into your lifestyle and will be centred around activities you enjoy.
What if I use a BlueSkies PT?
We will take the element of 'risk' out of employing a PT by recommending a BlueSkies PT to you. We have a large, nationwide network of PTs enabling us to select one who is local to you and, more importantly, suited to your requirements. By using a BlueSkies PT, you can be sure that they will be:
- Dedicated to your health, fitness and well-being
- Able to help you achieve your goals
- Experienced
- Highly qualified
Not just anyone can be a BlueSkies PT - we only select those who reflect the BlueSkies values and can demonstrate a high level of knowledge and practical skills.
BlueSkies PTs also have to prove that they regularly update their skills and knowledge in order to maintain the high standard we expect from the PTs we recommend to our clients.
Who will write my programme?
If you chose to use a BlueSkies PT, it is likely to be most effective for them to write your programme for you as they will be having regular contact with you.
By opting for an alternative Personal Training solution, you are gaining the knowledge and experience of Sam & Ben, the BlueSkies founders, and our team of BlueSkies experts. For more information on the BlueSkies team, visit the About Us pages.
How much does it cost?
Each of the BlueSkies Personal Training solutions is individual and so is the price.
Alternative PT solutions utilising phone and e-mail communication will cost considerably less than in-person PT sessions and are therefore more cost-effective. However, it is impossible for us to give a price without knowing your exat requirements.
As a guideline, the following prices may apply:
- Short consultation and proposal of Personal Training solution - FREE
- Initial in-person fitness assessment - £20-£60
- 1 week programme delivered via e-mail - £5-£10
- 1 month programme delivered via e-mail - £15-£30
- 1 hour in-person PT session - £20-£60
- Access to the on-line forum - FREE (as long as you are using BlueSkies)
If you use a BlueSkies PT, please be aware that we cannot set the prices that they charge as we do not employ them. Instead, we trust our PTs to charge a fair and realistic price for their services and it is up to you to find out how much this is prior to your first session.
To find out more, please contact us at info@blueskiesfitness.co.uk and we will discuss your requirements in full before providing you with a quote.
Client testimonials
"I wanted to find a personal trainer as I felt this would give me a boost and help me vary my current exercise regime which had become very stale. BlueSkies spoke to me at some length about what I wanted from a personal trainer before putting me in touch with Karen Smith. I liked Karen immediately and felt very comfortable with her.
When I first met Karen I was running 3 or 4 times a week but not doing much else. Initially I set myself a goal of a 10k race and saw Karen twice a week but she set me a programme for the whole week. What I enjoy most about my sessions with Karen is the variety – we might circuit train, spin, box or run and we usually do some weight training. Since seeing Karen my running has improved – she got me into the habit of varying pace and distance - and I am particularly pleased with the toning effect the weight training has had. I recently completed a 10k race in a better time than I expected too.
I now see Karen just once a week as her programmes mean I am motivated to train properly on my own although I still really look forward to the sessions with her."
