Being a Personal Trainer (PT) can be a little frustrating sometimes! You have spent a lot of money and dedicated a large amount of time to get yourself qualified, you get your certificate and.......well, then what?
BlueSkies is here to help you make sense of 'then what?'! We have a desire to see good PTs succeed and this has led to the development of the most complete Personal Training service available. BlueSkies ensure that our clients and trainers get the support they need, when they need it, where they need it.
Where do you fit in?
BlueSkies Personal Training services operate nationwide and, as such, we need a network of PTs who we can recommend to our clients. However, not everyone can become a BlueSkies PT, our trainers have to be:
- Dedicated to the health, fitness & well-being of their clients
- Able to help a wide range of clients reach their goals
- Able to demonstrate a high level of knowledge and practical skills
- Able to prove that they regularly update their skill and knowledge base
- Willing to work hard to provide BlueSkies clients with the level of service they deserve
If you can demonstrate these characteristics, then you are on your way to becoming one of the BlueSkies network of PTs.
How do you become a BlueSkies PT?
There are several ways in which you can become involved with BlueSkies Personal Training.
BlueSkies Affiliate PT
The first way to become involved with BlueSkies is to sign up as a 'BlueSkies Affiliate PT'. To do this you will need to have:
- An appropriate, current qualification*
- Current liability insurance
- Current first aid certificate
- Experience of dealing with clients
If you believe that you meet these criteria and you would like to apply to become a BlueSkies Affiliate PT, please contact us and we will talk you through the process. You can e-mail us by clicking here.
Once your become a BlueSkies Affiliate PT, your contact details will be made available to BlueSkies clients. Please be aware that all BlueSkies PTs must be current BlueSkies members in order for us to recommend them to our clients.
* Unlike some Personal Training providers, we do not require you to hold a REPS recognised qualification. BlueSkies acknowledge the value of other awarding bodies such as universities, ACSM, NSCA and ACE. If you are unsure whether your qualification meet our requirements, please contact us.
BlueSkies Recommended PT
The second way to become involved with BlueSkies is to become a 'BlueSkies Recommended PT'. To do this you will need to meet the same criteria as for an Affiliate PT:
- An appropriate, current qualification*
- Current liability insurance
- Current first aid certificate
- Experience of dealing with clients
In addition to meeting these criteria, BlueSkies Recommended PTs will have to undergo a selection process which will include an informal interview and a Personal Training session observation.
Once you become a BlueSkies Recommended PT, you will be able to post a personal biography on the BlueSkies website and we will promote your services to our clients. Please be aware that all BlueSkies PTs must be current BlueSkies members in order for us to recommend them to our clients.

BlueSkies Master PT
If, as a BlueSkies Recommended PT, you continually demonstrate an excellent level of knowledge, skill and client service, we may invite you to become a 'BlueSkies Master PT'.
Those who are invited to become Master PTs will have shown dedication to BlueSkies through being actively involved with the website. Our Master PTs will all:
- Hold appropriate, current, advanced qualifications*
- Have current liability insurance
- Hold a current first aid certificate
- Have extensive experience of dealing with a wide range of clients
- Be willing to share your knowledge and experience with other BlueSkies PTs and BlueSkies members
BlueSkies Master PTs will be the 'best of the best' and will be able to demonstrate an excellent level of skills and knowledge which enable them to provide their clients with a superior level of service.
Once you become a BlueSkies Master PT, you will have your own page on the BlueSkies website where your can post a personal biography and information on your services. Your services as a Master PT will also be promoted to our clients.

The benefits of BlueSkies membership
BlueSkies PTs will be required to hold current BlueSkies membership which will allow you to benefit from our range of member services including:
- The BlueSkies forum where you can talk to our Master Trainers and to other BlueSkies PTs
